Chai Fires
Lines and expectations
Burn
In the hearts of some
As excitement and
Chai
Whereas others just yearn
For the quiet break
For the tide to turn
And for their future lives
Asleep
To wake
Wish wish becoming
A wish is only as good
For the soul
As the soul is happy with
The result of said wish
Coming through the true mist
Of both time and allotment
Is
Generally what you will let it be
Challenging dreams
We humans need
Hard things to do
To challenge ourselves
Through
Into next
And yet
We dream
Of time unending
And of responsibility faded
As if somehow that
Could be more rewarding
Than the pursuit of this
The wish
Learning to walk as a haiku
Hardled knees of youth
Get up and try now again
With hope renewed, step
In dreams, of dreams, and
A human dream
Which pulls from time
Is often of a place to settle down
And spend, and spend
Even more time abound
In such a place
Maybe when
You finally find it
You will
And won't so much as waste
The time in dreams
Anymore
Friendships beyond, a tanka
Good friend always know
Even if feelings are far
And fading time tolls
Like a bell of reunion
Where again we can be found
Love so bright
How can you write
About a sunset or first light
If your house is of glass
And everyday so
How your eyes ignite
With the same bright rays and rights
How?
How can you not
As you already have
Other ships
One thing you wish for
Always is to see
A ship safe to harbor
And yet able to sail still
Be it away
Or towards
It should be
So
This life unspent
Of all the silly places
And ways to spend
Your life in time
The most must be
This
In the way of which you
Do not desire
Are not rewarded for
And in no ways loved
(For doing so)
Of instability
Help is not
Like water of flowing
Of drinking most sweet
When untouched
But then
When you just know how
To swim for yourself
You will
And when someone
More than they are willing to help themselves
Asks
You won't
Sometimes, once jumped
The jumper wants to drown
Do not die
Such sounds are quiet, a haiku
Kill me with a look
Passing by like a drum beat
So sounds out time, quiet
Breathing breaths
A breath is a breath
Is a breath
Is not a word
Is a meaning perhaps
And yet nothing at all
But to survive
To endure
To desire
To mean nothing
And to learn
That a breath
Is a simple
Yet as a sound
To be heard
A spark amongst sparks
Our comforts burn
And wishes for
Our own ways to wind
Through valleys of hope
Yet one day with a crash
Like these forest fires burn
When an unforseen conflict
Like a friction to start
This occasional spark
To an unpleasant flame
Burst and turns
To dread
Cold knows not
Cold knows not
How harsh it is
Unless summer enters in
After spring has done it's work
And is welcomed such
Near to speak again
And remind within
How the coat of winter snows to know
That they need not always lay
With such chilling force each day and so
And so now at least
This cold doest know
Then hope will shine
When beautiful days
Step into your foyer
And trees wave back
In an opportunistic way
Then hope will shine
Falling joy from the sky
As you see the land before you now
More before as ever it had been in past
And wishes abound
And will sound
Like dreams come true
Or so I pray for me and you
And you and me
It to be
Saria
Waters down and sometimes south
A river doesn't announce
It's need to flow
Or desires of south
It is completely separate or rhyme
Or of human ways entangled so
Woth gravity it goes
As a pulling means to a light rippling end
I see
That river is truly a need to run
And such should be
Expressed this true desire
The same kind which flows within
This pulling, falling, southbound me
Faith and this, for me
The other
Is one of the quickest ways
To remove from self
And be freed again
At peace
Some goodnight words, not goodbye
To be gone
Someday
Is not a bad thing
From this mortal coil
Though it may be sad and true
Leaving memories behind
But I
Know where my yesterday keeps
And why I lived it
And that flight was mine
I will never be free
So long as there is time
So be
So bright days may be yours in mind
Happy little trees
An artist needs no eyes
Other than theirs
To see the seed of mind
Once sown
Once grown
We trees all grow
Regardless of
Which humans see us
Fell us or know
Regardless it is
Like a painting
So
