A life capable of thanks

For this protection

And sense of self (aware)

I am most happily thankful

Because life, any other way

Would not be wrong

Necessarily

But to be as I am

Is to bw self aware enough to see

That I actually like this version of me

And that is protection manifest

From so many other unpleasant selves

Which could've been, but never did

Thankfully
