In Gondolin

White cities

Perched beneath white mountains still

In the distance waving as a son

Who greets you home and back as one

Such sights as these

Beneath the sky

Cause ripples great

In the eyes of men

How they sigh and sway and wish therein

When they see the walls of Gondolin

White city walls

Beneath to cold tall mountain peaks high
