Time in mind

Who says that all time

Should be spent in mind

Alive and alert

And awake and inside

Surely it is not

As such

Like mere coins to be spent

Or sunny days to be smiled at

In this offering I persist

To insist that sometimes

Just sometimes

Away from self is the truest alone
